JDI is constantly growing, and now has over 400 people on its database. There are around 26 groups, of varied sizes, which encompass a diverse mix of members. These groups are based predominantly in Cape Town, but also in Johannesburg, London, Dublin, New Zealand, and Dubai. These satellite cells work on same principles as the Cape Town groups, supporting local Cape Town projects that need assistance.
The organisation is overseen by a group of trustees, that monitor the financial and legal interests of JDI. The trustees and the administrator are all unpaid, ensuring JDI has no unnecessary overheads. In addition to that, the accounts are made continually available so all members are privy to the financial movements in their group.
