“Don’t quaver now, quell a few friends together to quake those brain cells and quaff some wine for a qualitative cause!”   The infamous

“Bingo at the Bay” has taken a back seat…… this year you are invited to take a quantum leap and join the Nkosi group for a new fun filled Quiz Night at Café Roux on Friday the 6th Nov from 19h00 onwards. The monies raised will be shared between the Bulungula Incubator in the Transkei, and Ferndale Primary in Ottery.

The Bulungula Incubator strives to be a catalyst for the creation of a vibrant and sustainable rural community. One of their focus areas is Education – the rehabilitation of their local Primary School as well as establishing an Early Learning Centre. The Primary School Building collapsed 3 years ago and the teachers hardly came to work – only 5 days taught in 2007. There was no food, furniture, books, toilets and the average attendance is only 40 percent. In short it was and still is dysfunctional, but JDI is striving to make it functional! Please check out their website on www.bulungulaincubator.org.za

Ferndale Primary School in Ottery is much closer to home and is far better equipped, but their hardworking, dedicated staff members could do with some recognition. Funds raised will go toward making the staff room a little more comfortable for staff on their much deserved breaks.

The cost of the ticket is R100 pp and includes a light dinner.  The food will once again be sponsored by Alphen Asset Management – pound-for-pound the best asset manager in the Southern Hemisphere and Storageland - the most professional and customer oriented storage company in Africa. Please check out www.alphenam.co.za and www.storageland.co.za for info.

Café Roux is located in the Noordhoek Farm Village. The Proprietors Paul and Lindi Le Roux have generously agreed once again to open especially for us that evening and cater some of their fine fare. Please check out www.caferoux.co.za
